Description
The Lithiumate Demo Board is a system designed to demonstrate the Lithiumate Battery Management System (BMS).
It includes:
- A BMS controller
- A small battery with BMS cell boards
- A power supply
- A low current sensor
- A CAN connector
- A 3-position power switch: Source power / Off / Load power
- A fan
Battery
The battery uses 12 each K2 LFP26650EV cells, in a 6S2P arrangement.
Each set of parallel cells has a 1SC0100 cell board.
The battery is divided into 2 banks of 3 cells in series each. Each bank communicates to the BMS controller through a cable. Those cables are plugged into bank 0 and bank 1 of the BMS controller.
The demo board does not include provisions for charging and discharging the battery: the customer is expected to do so.
Specifications
- 110 Vac in

Use
Please see the Lithiumate manual.
In addition:
Power
- Plug the power supply in a 110 Vac outlet
- Use the 3-position power switch to power the BMS controller
- Source power: power the controller as if it were being powered by a source (i.e. a charger)
- Off
- Load power: power the controller as if it were being powered by a load
See the Lithiumate manual for more information
Battery terminals
- Optionally, connect a source (charger) and/or a load to the battery terminals, on the terminal block
- black = negative
- blue = positive
- A 24 V supply is included for your convenience, which may be used as a charger
you MUST add a way for the BMS to shut down the charger and the load through its HLIM and LLIM outputs respectively
See the Lithiumate manual for more information
RS232 port
- Connect an RS232 cable to the RS232 port on the BMS controller
- An RS232 to USB adapter is included for your convenience
See the Lithiumate manual for more information
CAN port
- Optionally, connect a CAN bus to the CAN connector
See the Lithiumate manual for more information
Fan
- The fan is connected to the FAN output of the BMS controller
See the Lithiumate manual for more information
HLIM, LLIM, FLT lines
- The HLIM, LLIM, FLT lines on the BMS controller are not wired
If you wish to use them, wire them using Molex Minifit Jr socket pins
See the Lithiumate manual for more information
