- One Cell Board per cell: a Cell Board is mounted to the terminals of a single cell, any arrangement
- Reliable mechanical mounting and direct electrical connection
- A single communication wire is used between adjacent cells in a bank
|
- Possible bank arrangements:
- Two-cell bank: use a "positive end" and a "negative end" cell boards
- Three or more cell bank: use a "positive end", n-2 "mid-bank", and a "negative end"
- Right angle connectors are standard on end boards. Versions with straight connectors or without connectors are available with quick turnaround
- With right angle connectors - requires a slight extra mounting space beyond the cell bolts
- With straight connectors - requires significant extra mounting space beyond the cell bolts
- Without connectors (cables to the BMS controller are soldered directly to the cell board) - requires no extra space beyond the cell bolts
- For example, part number: 1PR0064M:
- 1 = Cell Board
- PR = Prismatic
- 0064 = 64 mm max terminal spacing (center-to center spacing of the rings terminals) (available: 53 to 210 mm)
- M = mid bank (available: P, M, N)

Power connections:
- Connection to the positive terminal of the cell is through the ring terminal on the red wire
- Connection to the negative terminal of the cell is through the ring terminal on PCB
Signal connections:
- Signal connection between adjacent cell boards is through the gray and orange wires (in rev B parts, it is done by soldering a wire between the C+ and C- pads)
- Signal connection to the BMS controller is through two 2-pin connectors, one to the positive end board (red and black wires) and one to the negative end board (white and green wires)

Right angle connector is standard on positive and negative end cell boards. Mid-bank cell boards do not have a connector.
